Any noticeable difference between the long cannons and the short cannons? I just purchased a set of the long cannons and am considering making them into the shorter versions. Any thoughts? Reading all the posts on here about the loudness factor of the pipes I was really expecting to be blown away, but unfortunately they're not. Help? I live in San Diego so loud pipes save lives lol

Take the baffles out and see if its loud enough for ya. If thats too loud you could just remove some of the baffle materials till you get em just right.
Short slash cuts are growlier, cannons are deeper.

If I where to take out the baffles then there will be no back pressure correct? Would I be ok in just taking off the packing material and reinserting the baffle?

You can do that. They will be extremely loud though. I ran around the block with no baffles once....

I should send you my `last release` SS Cannons. I don`t know what Dale did but they are as loud as thunder, and then some!!!

Yeah, just unwrap the baffles and you should be gold. Funny, isn't it? One man's too loud is another's too quiet.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)

Keith, I can't remember. Did you figure out why yours were so much louder than our older ones? Did he not/forget to wrap the baffles or something? I still haven't tried either of my canons, the long ones (older set) or short ones (last run).
