British Customs, D&D in Florida(?), Megacycle cams and there is a local guy that say he can do them too. I have not heard a definite release for the 270º cams from Thunderbike yet though, soon.

I put the cams in before I did the big bore thru South Bay. At that time the performance difference was the biggest gainer. The pull from third gear was what I would call amazing. More pipey kind of response at all places in the power band. The big bore is now in and I have not had it dyno'd but we are going to do that. I have been busy with my new car now and will be riding today after a couple of weeks of just short coffee runs. If you have the funds to go with the cams- do it, you won't be sorry. Vic

Same cams, , same people. Today was a bad *** ride. She proved herself again. up against 103 ci screamin' eagle and a 95 ci road glide with cams. Both of these guys are scratching their heads. Yes , they can take me on the striaght up drag, but there is no way if you throw more than 2 turns in there. I was also out today for the first big ride after the progressive 440's went on. If your thinking about those , stop thinking and start buying. I was more impressed as the day went on. Lots of canyons today ,lots of smiles! Vic

Pat,
I put in the "British Customs" cams in my motor when the Wiseco Kit went in. Being somewhat of a greenhorn, I'm not able to discern what percentage of a difference the cams made. All I know is that it went like a bat outta hell before my little mishap (I'll get it going again).
The machine shop I used said that to really get the most out of the new cams, I should "install bigger carbs."
So, do your Amals & cams together.
Yeah, yeah, - do that!

Yes, D&D Motorsports in Pensacola, FL, markets their own re-grinds, which is what my ride has. When I talked to them, trying to get my cam specs (in vain) they told me that these cams were in-house profiles, and that they weren't associated with any of the main-stream grinders. As to their benefits, I've never ridden my bike without them, so I couldn't tell you a difference, and my less-than inspiring dyno results may or may not be a product of the cams, may be just a result of really lousy jetting on my part.

How many greenbacks should I start saving for Wiseco, Cams and Amal carbs, install & tune? Anyone doing any head work, either mill or porting when the above list of work is done?
