It got up to the 80's today here in occupied northern virginia. Went home early, rolled Elvira out of the garage (she fired right up), went inside changed clothes got my stuff and headed back outside. Elvira was sitting there purring like a kitten. Headed out for about an hour ride. Everything was great expect for the unexpected rain shower that I ran into. All in all a great opening ride for 2012.

Glad you could get out, Don. Here we had a glimmer of hope last week, then it all changed. This morning I was on a commute to work and the road conditions were terrible with wet snow. We were stopped, then told the highway was closed due to a fatal accident. Winter seems to be going out like a lion.
Live to love, love to live.

My wife loves working on the yard, it relaxes her and became her favorite hobby in the (extended) summer months we get around here.

Damn, good job Jeff. I must be using the wrong tone when discussing this with my warden

John, yes I did. We have been having 30's-40's but suddenly got a couple of days of 60's (couldn't ride) and finally this one glorius 80 degree day (meaning I had to suddently come down with a fever and leave work to go home and rest). I just happen to rest better when I'm riding!
I will get out for a ride this weekend too... should be in the 60's and partially sunny.

It's been beautiful here all week. Usually March is just another month of winter, but of course, now that my bike is apart for the big bore upgrade it's like friggin summer! When I took it apart less than 2 weeks ago I was in the garage with a jacket on and the heater on full blast. I'm planning to get it back together tomorrow, which means our good weather is likely soon to be gone until late April like usual.

Just got back from a 7 hour ride. FANTASTIC route, beautiful weather, TONS of bikes out. Was close enough to 40 thousand miles that I just kept riding till the odometer flipped over 40000. By the time I got home it has aobut 40200 on it! I can't wait to get out and put some additional asphalt under the tires tomorrow.
Warren, we need to start planning a ride.

@ Don, sounds good, just got a new inspection, gonna change oil this week. Just don't make fun of all the extra stuff I carry, heheheh, just kidding. Hope all is well. New grandpa here, so time, money and weekends are at a premium. New grad RN nurse here in May. Maybe we can put something together, lots of fun the last time. talk to you soon.

May have seen you on the road today, stopped by OGTC to pick up some oil but not quite ready to pull the Speedie out of the shed. Up at Tremblant to go for a ski tomorrow still some white stuff on the hills if not in the dales.
