The Brando estate, while protecting their "intellectual property" of Marlon's identity, is also sticking up for Triumph. http://usridernews.com/2012/03/13/brando-enterprises-give-harley-davidson-the-boot/ Quote:
While The Wild One has become synonymous with biker culture, it was Triumphs and not Harley-Davidsons that featured prominently in the 1953 film.

That's funny, since HD has been so aggressive in defending their branding. It's also funny, I know of some HD dealers with that Brando sitting on a Triumph "Wild Ones" poster on their walls. Harley Davison....

Yeah...I ESPECIALLY enjoyed readin' THIS paragraph in your link, John: Quote:
According to papers filed in court, Brando Enterprises said, ‘They (Harley-Davidson) have been aggressive protecting its own intellectual property from perceived infringements and should have known better.”
Yep! One WOULD think ANY company that once tried to copyright a friggin' SOUND their motorcycle makes, WOULD know better than THIS, wouldn't one???!!!

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Maybe Harley should name their new boot the "Arnold", since CA's last Governor is such a great advocate for motorcyclists...NOT.

They should call it what it is....wolverine work boot with a added strap and buckle, and some harley branding stuff on it.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.
