The brake lever on my 04 had the end broken off, so I was happy to score a used one on eBay for $11. However, I was bummed when I tried to install it because it was bent downward and hit the throttle lock on my bike; it must have taken a pretty good hit on the original bike.
I was afraid it might break if I tried to straighten it, but working carefully with a padded C clamp and a piece of 2X6 I was able to bend it straight enough to clear the throttle lock and although the end is still curved forward more than stock, it works and I am leaving it alone. It was a lot cheaper than a new one plus a 150 mile drive to the nearest Triumph dealer, even at 50 Mpg.
