I have the 2007-2008 tank badges on my America but I'm loving the look of the 2010 tank badge. Can anyone tell me if it's a straight swap with some bending of if it's a complete impossibility to swap them without glueing new ones on etc.

Without hi-jacking your thread Fizzy, I've been wondering what tank badges will fit in the place of the stock America badges, in regards to the old styles??

Well been down that rode so I will chime in here. The curve is a bit "tighter" on the new badges. They are "stuck on" but will cover the mounting holes. If your going the use them I used a heat gun and some finesse and they worked out.

If it isn't broke ...break it ! then you'll have something to do !

Plug & play? None.

With a "little" finesse, ALL of them.

I soon will start an ebay store for my fuel filters. I have SOOO... many different ones now, I can't easily list all of them.

When I do, I'm thinkin' about offering vintage tank badges scribed, ground, and screw hole relocated to fit the '01-'07 tanks. They will have gaskets (two sided molding tape) so they won't leave permanent marks, or scratches, on the tanks.

I just finished painting my third tank (Chrysler "Intense Blue Pearl") that will have the '66-'67 (?) badges on it.
My current Gold tank has the '68-'69 badges.
I'll use one of the shelved tanks as a fitting buck.

If the store becomes a reality, I'll offer ALL the little "bits" I've made over the years. To name a few; Silver Dollar bar ends, Brass tag mount, Brass Triumph "patent" side motor cover badge (say that three times fast), Rear fender/strut "delete" seat mount bracket (uh?) , And a "Oil cooler "Delete" Kit!

I'd like to see a close-up of that one. Mine came off in the car wash.

The above one wasn't perfect, so it went on our bike to see if it would hold up to the heat/abuse.

Obviously, ANY emblem that fits can be epoxied on in place of the Orange Triumph oval.

Keith, look CLOSER , I'm really holdin' somethin' else, with the badge on it, as seen in the reflection of the smooth, chrome, badgeless Alternator cover.

Just kiddin' Tom. You, like I, have given ALL the info. and pointers on how to do what we've done, and would rather others do it themselves !
We're NOT a manufacturing plant/factory. Our "Products" CAN NOT be as "flawless" as they would be (SHOULD be) if Triumph manufactured them professionally.(I mean, mine are made with hand tools in a friggin' SHED, for christ's sake) BUT, much like the Sistine chapel ceiling, if you look hard enough, you'll see it's more of a "One Off' creation, with the possibility of small flaws.

Thanks for the pic, that'll get me thinking...

I'm no longer permitted to think at work and sometimes I need a jump start to get going again.
