Ordering Jets after installing TORS, UNI pods, removed air box. I checked to see how it was jetted before ordering. 120 mains, 40 pilots. From what I have read on other posts and checking the jetting calculator I should start with 145 mains. Should I jump up to 42 or 45 pilots?

I can't access the jet calculator on my phone. But I would think 42's would work fine. Maybe somebody with that set up could chime in too. Might just order them both since jets are cheap so you can experiment. Remember no more than 3 turns out in that set screw.

Thanks for the help. Good tip about not going over 3 turns out on the set screw.

i think 45 will be overkill, you will likley settle at the 42's but as noted they are cheap so order them both start with the oem and go from there. The tors do not open her up a ton, most will be gained by the pods, so i am thinking 2.5 turns on the 42's would get you pretty close.

Adjust the pilot screw the right way and if you end up more than 3 turns out go up a size. These bikes come lean from the factory to get through emissions.
Disconnect one plug wire and ground, start the bike and adjust the idle up just enough for the bike to stay running. On the side still firing, turn the mixture screw in until the bike runs rough then back out until it runs rough counting the turns between the 2 points. 1/2 way between those 2 points is the correct setting.

That is true, however going to pods will reduce the vacuum demand at idle; as a general rule, stock-cammed 865's with CV carbs & pods (no airbox) can tend to run rich at idle with 45 or 48 pilots jets, without a throttle plate mod.
That said, I run 48 pilots but have TPUSA 813 cams & a few extra tweaks to the CV carbs.

Great help! Thanks all. I'll start with the 42 pilots and 145 mains and see how much I have to turn out the mixture screws.

I wasn't suggesting any size pilot but cautioning against guessing in favor of actual adjustment.
