Does anyone have experience with the headlight modulators from Comagination, Kisan, Signal Dynamics, or Kriss?

I am leaning toward a comagination unit, although I have not been impressed with their answers to questions about differences between their 75W and 115W H4 units and other makers of higher priced units seem to take shots at "cheaper units" without naming names.

I'd appreciate hearing from folks who have used any of these; I am curious about their convenience, longevity, and whether they affect bulb life.

No flames, please, I have read all I can find and I do plan to install one in my high beam for safety where needed, Like in town to help avoid left turners.

Ever ride in front of somebody with one of those? Annoying doesn't begin to describe the experience. That being said I ALWAYS knew where this guy was. Maybe try an emergency strobe light wired into the horn, I saw that on a guys Kawi with 90K on it the owner said it works like a charm.

I bet that would be annoying, but with modulation on high beam only it can be easily turned off and I plan to use it only in situations where I might be invisible to cell phone wielding drivers (like in town), or switch it on approaching cars whose intentions are unknown or suspect.

That said, I have approached riders running modulators on twisty two lanes around here and it does get your attention. Modulation in moderation would be my choice; I'm Just looking for experience on the best unit to use.

I didn't find much info in the archives on modulators in the last three years of posts, so I decided to stop obsessing over this and ordered the combo of 115W head light modulator and 4-flash brake light flasher from Philip Walters at Comagination ($92 total with shipping).

I'll report my experience with installation later. Thanks for looking; hope my experience can help someone else who might be considering these.

Late to the conversation but I have used a Kisan for the past 3 years and still works like a charm. I upgraded my bulb to a PIAA Super White (or something like that) and it helped a lot. I try to be respectful when riding with it as well - turning it off when parked behind someone, etc. It has saved me a time or two as well so I would rather annoy a few than be a hood ornament. I do feel bad for the people that pull over when I am riding behind them thinking I am a emergency vehicle or something.
