Thanks for your help everyone. I think this might be the last post to get my bike going!!!
Carbs back on and it started!! Whoooppppeeee!!!
The problem I have now is the left hand pipe is back firing badly at tick over ( nice flames!)
Took her out for a run and obvious "popping" on deceleration!
So... do I need to change the pilot screw on the popping side or both?
Shes running rich, so should I screw in the screw or out?
Should I phone up a professional and get it done properly or am I nearly there!!??

Thanks,

Jon

For starters, (I am guessing) you may want to balance your carbs, make sure they are in syche.

Screw it in for leaner. it is a mistake to arbitrarily set both to the same number of turns because there will always be differences from one side to the other. Adjust one side for best idle speed, reset the idle speed, then adjust the other side for best idle speed, then correct the speed again. You might have to go back and readjust each side 2 or 3 times to get everything just right.
If you have the tool for it, you would do well to balance the carb's at this point, then go back and retune the idle mix once more. You can get the balance close enough for government work if you pull the sparkplug wires one at a time and adjust the balance for equal idle speed running on each cylinder.

That rules out GT Motorcyles in St Austell then! Never used Bridge in Exeter so cannot comment on them.

Can I pull the spark plug lead to adjust the pilot screw one side then the other?
