Huh. And everyone else is trying to figure out how to move the CDI away from the major heat source.

that sprocket cover is the ebay one for a thrux.

and if i could move that cdi anywhere else i would. that was the biggest pain of it all. for now i'm going to shield it, but ultimately i don't think it'll do much. right now i'm going off my hopes that wind in the tunnel will help cool. and theres no room on top of the backbone.

Hello everyone. New member here.

I just placed the 2013 bonneville tank on my 2009 America. Obviously EFI. Fuel pump installed and all. Just curious, what is all this talk of the bolts and the stuff that is zip tied to the frame? Is any of that in danger of being damaged due to this swap? It's tight, but it's not anything that would scare me. Just feels a little more snug that with the America tank. Tank has insulation on the underbelly as well.

Thanks ahead of time!

Hey everyone! Got most of the work done on my EFI swap. It was quite a breeze except for removing the 1/8" from each side of the mounting on the frame, and i cut off the tabs at the back of the bonnie tank.

I am absolutely stoked. I have to drill the 5/8" hole for the mounting stuff and I'm finished.

Happy to share that the EFI swap is a for sure option.

When you talk about the motor mount, are you talking about the large triangle piece that is bolted to the frame on the right side?

That's not needed? I guess the engine and such are already on the engine pretty tight huh?

Hey everyone. I wanted to attach the video I did regarding my EFI Bonnie tank swap. Step by step on what I did. And she's running beautifully, so it was an absolute success.

Nice video, Michael. Can't wait to see the finished results.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Thanks Dwight. Trip to the Powder coater today. Once that stuff is picked up, I should be rockin'. Photos to follow. Love these forums. Had to do my part in contributing seeing as I've been taking on information for years now.
