in the instructions it says to reinstall the selonoid on the 2 tabs on the mudguard. the only 2 tabs I see are on the back and I can't figure out how to get the selonoid back that far is that even where it is supposed to go or am I missing something?

Yes the back of the Freak kit is now the mud guard area. That area was previously the back of the air box.
The solenoid does go on the two tabs at the back, If I recall it requires a bit of rerouting and just barley will stretch that far. At least that's what I recall from my 03.

Another way to think of it is this... there should be two tabs welded to the kit. You may have to cut some tape but it'll reach. I didn't like the idea of the exposed wires so once I got mine on I wrapped some tape around the whole thing.

Thanks for the help. I ended up disconnecting one of the wires and running it around the oposite side of the downtube took a little patience and a little beer but I got it.
