OK. Taken my carb apart again and I'm now wondering whether I put the needles in the correct way.
Could someone please clarify what the order is.
Plastic thing, needle through hole and then spring?
I think I messed up and thats why its flooding.
I tried to find some diagram but cant anywhere.
Please help,

Jon

Jon, order of components sounds ok....if it's flooding you might have a stuck float....check out this link Carb advice...any more problems, let us know!

It's been a loooong time and it was a different carb mfg...but it may be the same (both were CV carbs) plus if I'm wrong someone will let us both know...but I used to have to put the needle in then the plastic thing and then the spring went over the outside of the plastic thing then cover....

Thanks everyone. This is such a great group!

Sure enough I got it the wrong way round.
I put the plastic spider first then the needle and finally the spring.
I think the result was the needle could stay in any position it felt like making it very rich.
Back to the garage tomorrow. Because tonight the beer and Jaffa cakes are calling!!

The needle definately goes in first... before the plastic thingy.
