I've almost done it!
I re jetted with 130's and 42 and thruxton needles.
Put everything back, turned the key and it kicked into action, whoopppeee!!
Waited for a while. Pushed in the choke and it died.
Tried to re start and it wont.
Turns over nicely but with choke in/out, throttle open a bit/none. Wait for a while incase of flooding etc it wont start.
It tries and a nice rich black smoke comes from the exhaust.
I put 2 and a half turns on the pilot screw.
Please help!! Its Friday night and I want to drink beer and eat Jaffa Cakes not spend my time screaming in a cold garage.

Jon

Might have to crank your idle adjustment up since the mods...

Almost sounds like a stuck carburettor float. Let it sit a bit with the petcock on and see if petrol starts dribbling out on the floor.
Another thing to check is that a needle jet didn't drop out whilst you were changing the main jets.

Tried again. Left hand side was black and sooty, right hand side was black and wet!!
The bike did fire briefly but only with throttle 3/4 open and then as lumpy as my mothers old custard before dying.
