so i swapped out my rear indicators for the ones from british customs. i think they're drag specialties. the wiring is proper, and it seems to have a decent ground (through the bulb; to the frame, through the housing and fender), but if the engine is anything above idle, only one filament lights up, and it starts blinking rapidly as if it's out. i'm not exactly an electrician, but i did reasonably well in the electrical part of A&P school, and i THOUGHT i knew what i was doing. any advice, fellas?

You might need to swap your flasher relay for an electronic flasher unit. ($9)

Indicators are current driven so earting is important and new bulbs offen draw too much or too little for the relay. It was common to put Other bulbs in to speed up the flash. But since LED flashers became common this has been a common problem. An electronic one will have a timer instead and will flash at a set pace regardless of load.

:-)

Are the front ones ok or do they follow suit? If they are also all to pot my above diagnosis stands. If they are flashing normally ignore that advice.lol

it's the ground. I kinda squeezed in my hand working the throttle and that made for a better path.

Edit:to clarify, the reflector and housing dont have reliable contact.
