I need a bit of help here. I was turning the engine by rotating the altenater. I do this every year when checking valve clearance. I had the tension plunger off the bike for reasons I won't bore you with. The cam chain jumped a bunch of teeth at the main cam gear so now the cams and the crank are misaligned. If I line the altenater up with the crank case joint as shown in the shop manual and get the cam gears lined up as also shown in the manual, will the crank and cams be realigned? 02 TBA.
