Been awhile since I posted but I read and lurk a bunch. Just wanted to put the word out that my family and I got PCS'D out to Hawaii. So if there are any of you folks out here let me know. If it takes a bit for me to get back to you don't sweat it just remember I'm on a sub and we go out to sea a bunch!

PCS, as in Permanent Change of Station, I take it. Are they (Uncle Sam ) shipping your Trumpet for you? Have a safe move and keep your powder dry and your rubber side down.

Did 10 of those PCSes, don't miss doing them, but do miss the professionalism of the military.
'06 America, Raask foot controls, the bike use to be Graphite and Silver, now its Red and Black.

+1 on everything you said, Bruce.
Enjoy Hawaii Lenex - I get out there for work once or twice a year - bikeless, unfortunately. Always thought It'd be a great place to ride.
...you're gonna feel a little pressure....

lenex, are you a QM,ST, or ?? Are you qualified yet, or a dinq? What boat? I was 688 2nd Flight, Augusta SSN-710, A-Ganger, from 87-91 out of Groton (yeah, I would have MUCH preferred Pearl, but you know what, when running deep I'm pretty sure I couldn't tell the difference between lush warm Pacific water and greenish cold Atlantic water.... (unless we opened the screen doors in the torpedo room that is!)

I worked on the Augusta during new construction at Electric Boat. Road her for Alpha, Bravo & Charlie Sea Trials. Even went to the commissioning ceremony at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (which is actually in Maine). I also use to support MOTU (Mobile Operational Technical Unit) out of San Diego, and traveled to Pearl Harbor to support the subs there.
Lots of traffic in and around Pearl Harbor, so be carefully on the bike.

I'll be dammed, talk about a small world. Well she served us well despite two collisions, too bad she's on her way to razorblade heaven now....
