So the little doo-dad on the end of my Barnett clutch cable popped off last year. My local bike guy says he's not aware of anyone that rethreads cables around here. Anyone have any ideas where I could get this done?

the Triumph dealer here in town is still old-timey enough to do it, I had them redo my (interestingly enough) Barnett throttle cable when the same thing happened. they used a much thicker than Barnett inner cable to replace the broken one for me.

Some high-end bicycle shops build custom sized brake cables and may have the piece and the equipment to fix your clutch cable.
I used a local bicyle shop in the past to build throttle cables for internal throttles for my bikes.
Good luck and ride safe!

You can get parts from Barnett but usually a used cable is too oily to solder well.

Yep, and not to mention that soldering on a new bead does change the temper of the cable itself makin it potentially prone to premature fatigue and failure. The same thing happened to my this past Autumn & I had to order a new cable from Barnett cause the local bike shop tech wouldn't cobble a new bead onto the old cable. You'd be a whole lot better off getting a repalcement I figure!

It doesn't effect the temper much if done right with a solder pot not with an iron or torch and spool of solid solder.

Thought about this again and on a whim sent a note to Barnett. They offered to repair the cable free of charge. The repair job looks stronger than the original. We'll see.
