Ok...tis the season to buy stuff for my bike. And boy do I have a long shopping list...the only problem is that I don't know which to get first. I want...no I NEED:
1. New, bigger saddlebags with EZ Brackets (triumph bags are way too small) 2. Quick release windshield...such as those from Memphis Shades. Already have a shield, but would like to be able to take it off for in town rides. 3. New seat. Right now I have Triumph Gunfighter, but want to go to solo style (and not stock solo for that matter). 4. Mints from Brent...and some shiny chrome things that may fall into the box as he packs the mints, such as rear finishers, fender bib, reservoir cover, upgraded shifter rods, etc.
Or maybe I should just get 'em all at once and deal with the credit card companies later.

Mints would be first on my list, although I did receive two packages from hom last week and he forgot to include the mints, all I got were some worthless steel braided brake cables and a lousy chrome rear brake resevoir cover.

Well I'd say go with minty things before the shield and bags because you at least have those already, even if not satisfied. Then when real spring comes, pop for the bags, etc. Let me know if you want to come check out my Corbin for comparison.

Dude, whatever you do, don't go on a spree with the card. That's what I did for almost four years since buying the bike and I've got $6000 in accessories, gear, tires, tune-ups, etc. on plastic. That's in addition to the extra $2000 I got in the loan for the bike. My bike will be paid off this year but I've still got that damned card balance to work on. Thus endeth the sermon.

I'm thinking of the larger bags to allow packing for weekend trips, plus easy brackets so I have 'em when I switch to the solo seat.
Then shield and mints, and then probably new seat. But then again...who knows. We'll see how much Uncle Sam will be sending my way, that'll help things out as well.
I paid for my bike in cash, so I don't have to worry about that and I just paid off my Subaru. Car insurance coming up next month and bike insurance coming up in May...so I may be able to squeeze in a few goodies for myself.

First thing to get is Jaffa Cakes! Next, if you don't already have it, is Brent's IA removal kit.

I still need to find a local vendor of those mystical things called "Jaffa Cakes." Don't have an AI kit yet...is it really necessary for me now. Let's face it...my bike already goes fast enough to kill me.

The AI kit doesn't add any power but does help your pipes stop bluing. Try http://local.google.com for British products

Dude if you haven't already, get out of work now! The roads suck big time. And don't give me the Subaru all wheel drive sermon, I saw 3 accidents, two of which were SUVs... As for the AI, get rid of it. No performance gain, but it's cheap and helps the bie run cooler. It's a half hour job tops.

OK, I'll look into the AI removal. Will I need to rejet, or will I be fine without. My bike was already rejetted when the previous owner replaced the pipes.

should be fine without re-jetting. I re jetted way back when, but only because it was bone stock before hand.

I got my bike used and along with the low miles it already had a few accesories. The first thing I bought was the triumph knee pads because that's a trade mark of the old Brit bikes and I'm a big fan of vintage British motorcycles. khatt

Well if you're into the vintage look, you could always add to it with the fork gaiters from Brent. I also added some Beston GT old style football grips for not much money that I got off of ebay(You want the ones that fit 1" handlebars and are 5 or 5 1/4 inches long). IMO, they're really comfortable grips and only cost about $9. But if I had to do it all over again, the first thing I'd do is buy the Progressive fork springs. Best $75 I spent on my bike, but then I always thought the front end dive was annoying until I put the new springs in.
