Just finished washin and waxin the bike. Installed the windshield, bags, and pillion. All I need to do is throw a few things in my bag, and strap it to the bike!
It's going to be hot as heck, so be careful peeps. I myself is pretty bad at keeping on top of the fluids. Take your time, make plenty of stops. See ya all tomorrow afternoon. I'm looking forward to a meet and greet, and that '50's drive in!!

Sorry to hear you couldn't make it Steve. I wanted to meet as many guys from the site as possible. Who knows, I might be back some day cos traversing this great country of yours is on my bucket list with my new Tiger. Thanks to Kaizer for all his arrangements. I've bought him a little pressie from Aus for all his hard work To all those members who read this before arriving, please take plenty of breaks, lots of fluids and be mindful the heat takes it out of you. Most of us aren't as young as we used to be either By the way, Eddy and I can't get away until Friday due to Eddy working Thursday night. All the same, it still gives us two nights and a full day which ain't too bad IMHO. Can't wait to meet you all. Stacka

I hope you guys are having a great time. I wish I could have made it.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Great pic Mitch. All those Triumphs together are a sight to behold. Hope to be having dinner with you guys tonight but not sure what time Eddy and I will be getting in. Been raining heavily this morning which has delayed our departure. it's clearing up nicely now though.

I bought a cooling vest yesterday to wear under my mesh jacket... I tried this combo on in my yard yesterday just to get an idea of how it felt in the heat. It felt pretty darn good. Good thing I have no neighbors with a line of sight to my yard or they would have thought I was crazy.
(Sorry to hear the news, Steve.)
No mesh! Solid leather jacket. Fully zipped up. One, it reduces your loss of water, two, it allows the cooling effect of the vest to last longer, much longer. Three, folks really think you are bonkers.

Great rally. We really enjoyed meeting everyone. It's always nice to put a face with a name (and a real name too). And the bikes are even better than pictures. 711 miles door to door.

Just rolled in. 899 miles on the clock.
I had such a great time! I really wished I had made the first one. That probably would have changed my mind about selling the SM I had at the time.
Great bikes, great rides, great food, and most importantly, truly great people! Thank you so much Scott and Eddy from everything you did for us on this adventure. Thank you Barry for being such a great pack leader. Thank you JR for all the laughs! And a huge thank you to John for visiting our country and joining our group, I think you bringhten up all of our days!!

Enjoy reading this thread from a far away land, as I have fond memories of riding that river valley country on a trusty T 140 from 76 - 79. Dang Justin you weren't even Justin yet jh

Hi All, I pulled into my driveway @ about 7:30 p.m. yesterday with one very sore arse. I had a great time at the rally and thoroghly enjoyed meeting all of you, and the rides through/in & around lower Wisconson as well. I got to figuring what kind of mileage I added to the clock and near as I kin figure it's in the neighborhood of 1560+ total for the entire trip with and average of 54-55 mpg!

If he needs a speedo cable I have one he can borrow, let me know before I leave tomorrow
He asked if I had one, which I do not. I think the drive on the wheel broke, because it spun and pulled his cable.
Karl said go ahead and bring the cable. He is going to tear into it after it cools down tonight. He thinks if the drive is ok, all he will need is a cable and a wire tie. Karl was going to try to call you too.
Justin, Thank you for relaying my situation to Dave. Dave, Thanks for bringing a new cable for me to borrow to Rally Central. I'll be ordering a replacement today to send your way. You guys are great!

Got home safe and sound. Peeled of from Dave and Chris but only made it about two miles and stopped to help a "H" rider alongside the road. Cell phone was all he needed as his was dead. Luckily enough, he knew that the resturaunt I was heading for had closed since I was last there. Back tracked a little, and meandered down the Ill. side for a couple of hours. Wis. sure has some beautiful back roads to ride. I really enjoyed those, and combined with all you good people, a fantastic few days in the saddle! Sure hated to come home!

Home safe and sound too. Got home yesterday late afternoon. Had a great time as always and it was great to meet some of the guys I hadn't met yet. All the friendship and 'family' attitude is what makes our group outstanding. Scott, great job again as always. J.R., nice ass dude. Justin, I'm glad everything turned out OK with the law of LaCrosse. Dave, I always enjoy a rally with you, buddy. Awesome steaks too. John, what a pleasure to meet you. Top Bloke. Eddy, thanks for dinner bro! Barry, thanks for leading. Nice job. Jack, great stories and jokes. Always fun. Thanks for a good time to everyone. Too many to thank.
