Actually it was more of a bash. I was heading home cruizing through a neighboring city and had to stop at a round a bout for traffic. Apprently the guy behind me didn't notice I was not moving . The Trumph is now scheduled for a major repair job for the New Year. No, I wasn't hurt, but the America is sporting a new (and unbecoming) look. On the bright side, I was needing a new tire anyway.

Looks like a new rear fender, tire, light and other stuff at the least. To the casual eye didn't look any deeper. Fortunately, the guy has reputable insurance and I didn't get hurt (a little wide eyed though). Hopefully won't be long in the shop.

I had one years ago when I was stopped at a light and a guy plowed into me. His excuse? 'I thought you were going'. The light was still red.

Glad it didn't turn out worse for you, Marlin.

The main thing is you're ok.That's good news.

I had one at a give way years back.Car hit me,thought I was going.Killed the tail light, one indicator, and rear guard. No other damage.

Sorry to heard this, Marlin.

Yep, as has been said here, it sounds as if it could have been much worse.

(...but yeah, I know...the down-time it takes for repairs is always a real PITA, isn't it!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Looking at the bright side Marlin, at least you didn't start the year with a bang and also, they say it's just a matter of time before the inevitable. That being the case, you got off lightly :thumb up:

Hope it won't be too long and you're back riding.

At least you didn't get broken. Sorry to hear about the accident.
