I thought I seen a post that talked about a replacement (or possibly should replace) an electrical connector under the seat. I believe the thrust of the post was the connector was possibly sub par from the factory. I have search and cannot find it. Help Please???

I'm not sure which connector you're thinking of. Perhaps the one coming from the stator... I believe I've read something about that one melting down (but don't quote me on that).

That was helpful, but I thought there was another and I found it. You actually commented on this thread. My 03 probably needs checked and I have not done it since I have owned the bike in 05. Thanks, appreciate you replying.

That would be the alternator connector under the cover on the airbox... A three wire connector that sometimes gives trouble.

Okay, now I remember that thread... glad you found it. So my memory did serve me right about it being the connector for the stator (or alternator, as Chy pointed out). I haven't had any trouble with the connection on my '03 but I do keep an eye on it. I pretty much went through the entire charging system when the stator on my bike fried.
