I bought a uses 2002 Bonneville America with a leather tank bib on it. I do not want it. How easy is it to remove? Do I just take off the turn signal/gas cap housing?

What are you going to do with the tank bib? If you're interested in selling please let me know!

If it's connected under the seat, you need a 12mm socked to get the seat off, and that same socket for the tank. And I think it's a 5mm allen head for the dash, or is it torx? I have the SS screws in there... they are allen head. Either way, that;s it.

Is there any paint damage under the tank bib? I think one might be nice for trips, but worried that it would rub the paint finish dull. Any info?

Have had a bib on my 02 since day one and no damage whatsoever to the tank.

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke .

What does the bib look like? I've never seen one. Charlie
