I wonder if Mikey is replacing Shawn Baer, or is he riding as a team member with Shawn for Bill Gately?

I wonder if that series will return to Prescott next year, Bill?
Ya see, Yavapai Downs Race Track filed bankruptcy a few months back and has closed its doors. Word was there was some "fancy" bookkeeping being done by the proprietors of the facility for quite a while, and it finally came back to bite 'em in the shorts.
However, I HAVE heard another group of investors are interested in re-opening the track, and so maybe there will be a chance for a return of this AMA Flat Track series here.
And, re this link you found... The heading says, "The Brits Are Coming! Triumph Factory Invades American Flat Track", but as far as I know, I don't think Bill Gately's venture ever was or is financed by Triumph Corporate. I could be wrong, however.
And re this new rider... He sounds pretty good, but as we saw a year and a half ago now, Gately's Triumph still seems to be down a little in power from all the H-D XRs and a few of the Ducatis.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Sounds as if Shawn might have been replaced, Bob.
Gotta say though this Mikey kid in that pictures looks a lot smaller and lighter than Shawn. Shawn was a pretty big kid for racing at what, around 6'-1" and 190lb maybe, and so estimating Miley here looks to be some 40 to 50 pounds lighter than Shawn, I'd guess that might have had something to do with Bill's decision here.
Better Power-to-Weight, maybe?

It would be great to get it back to Prescott.
This last sentence caught my attention:
” Bonneville Performance launches the 2012 campaign as the factory team for Triumph. “Triumph is returning to its racing heritage,” Gately said. “Clearly the brand is committed again to racing and we’re proud to be working closely with them to bridge their rich legacy of the past to the present.”

Best of luck to Bill Gately and his team, hopefully they will get the help they need from Triumph to give the HD teams a run for their money.
