Couple other such errors in there too like the Smiths speedo isn't rare and the brake stay via the rocker arm but a really sweet bike with a nice mix of custom and stock parts. I wonder if the primary is a belt with a dry clutch and that is what is meant by exposed belt.

I thought the front brake stay was quite clever the was it's incorporated into the rocker; most springers have that as a fixture on the rigid leg of the springer. And I believe you're quite right, that's a belt drive primary kinda exposed by the open "racing" clutch.
All in all it's a beauty and the very first hardtail I've seriously wanted to ride.

I especially like how the guy painted the lower part of the springer the same color as the frame.

Not wild about the color, but yes awesome. The dry clutch and conversion to a primary belt was used a lot in drag bikes. The performance and maint. advantages are obvious for racing bikes, but the real advantage for the non-racer was that it eliminates about 75% of the oil leaks. M.A.C. made , or still does make a very popular and expensive conversion.

Yep Mac, that's pretty much about where the oil leaks on my 1970 Street Tracker stem from...the primary case, though at present it's only about 25% of that total.
(...the other 75% is now seeping out from between the rocker boxes and the head...I think anyway)

Never had oil leaks at the rocker boxes on my 76s, occasionally at the push rod tubes. The biggest leaks seem to be at the OIF gaskets. Oil leaks or not, the old ones are just a pleasure to look at and ride ( and have the occasional urge to dry hump). Triumph has come a long way, after riding one of the older ones and switching to one of the the new ones on the same day I have to keep looking at the tach to make sure the new one's engine is running  One Saturday I was in Petsmart check out line purchasing kitty litter. A attractive woman behind me commented that I didn't look like a "cat person". I replied that I wasn't, that they were fun to watch, but I wouldn't want to own one. She look confused, so I said I own old Triumphs, she looked even more confused. About that time it was my turn to check out. No cats, but two litter boxes and yes I know I blew it with the attractive woman.  Dwight are pics on here of your street tracker?

90% of the leaks in any of my old bikes was from the Primary.One 5 speed T120V I have always leaked from the trans and nothing I did would stop it. I used to run 90 weight gear oil to try and keep some in it.
That brake stay is very close to the one I did on the springer of my 1966 TR6C chopper. It caused the front end to raise when applied losing any stopping power I had up there.
