I managed to drop the V-Star unloading it off the truck after bringing my daughter home for break from College.

I was really looking forward to riding it, as the America has been in the shop for 5 weeks and I am beginning to think I am never going to see it again. And now instead I have no operating cycles.

Sometimes I feel that way about the Sun, I do live in Gray s Harbor, aptly named, just misspelled.

So what happened to the V-Star that you can't ride it?

Live to love, love to live.

The hand controls are messed up, and the lighting isn't legal. Could be wors, but it is going to be a while, as getting anything delivered next week is venturing into the unknown.

What a bummer and a mental setback! Sorry to hear your bike's been in the shop and now this...

Well, I have more to be thankful for. The part is in, I can pick it up Friday, to get the lights legal again - not too expensive as we decided we could epoxy the broken part of the piece that would have required a whole new assembly. The hand controls are back functioning, though I am not happy about the front brake control, may have to get a friend that a look at it. It works, but has very little travel.

I am also supposed to be able to pick up the America Friday. One day short of six weeks after I dropped it off they've concluded the problem is what I told them I suspected it was (thanks to the lessons gleamed from this board!) when I took it in. CDI & Ignition sensor. If I had more mechanical ability that a spastic prairie dog, and had been willing to make a $600+ gamble on it I could have had it back sooner!

So, should be back to 2 bikes by the weekend!
