To be honest I'm more a body mods man, such as fly screen, kuryakin grips maverick seat etc., but encouraged by postings on this sight and with grateful thanks to Dinqua for his carb tuning guide and jetting table I have today removed the second baffle from my long TORS, taken out the top snorkel, put in a uni filter and rejetted accordingly (AI already removed). Took my 05 America for a run and everything seems spot on. Smooth running and nice pulling power in all rev bands, seems like a different bike. Thanks everyone

+1  What Keith said It sounds like You and I are at about the same stage with performance. I have a K&N filter,no snorkel,AI removed,re-jet,1 shim on the carb needles,after market pipes I just came back from a 400 Km ride yesterday. I was thinking at times "This is GREAT!".Other times I was thinking,"If I had just a LITTLE more Oomph" I got 18k per litre and if I want more"Oomph" I'd probably lose some mileage[kilometreage?] [I think "Oomph" is the technical term,not sure]

Yeah Glen, Dinqua's carb site sure takes the guess work out of rejecting.
Paul, Oomph is layman's terms for speed (as in fastness) the word your looking for is Grunt or Cuddies

I'd say Viagra was more of an additive than a mod... Extenze would be the performance mod - hopefully anyway LMAO

I always thought "Cuddies" was your version of our "Bush" Colin?

Opposed to this is "Oomphness" which everyone knows is a measurement of "fastererness"

Nah Paul, Cuddies is the plural if Cuddy = Pony. Needing more cuddies = Horse power. Really didn't get the comments of our cousins across the pond, depraved minds, me thinks, or possibly just insular.
