If its not one thing its another!! Tried to unscrew the mixture screws on the carbs to find one is jammed at two turns. It looks like I'll have to remove the carbs!
But, back to the simple one, now the neutral light won't come on. I checked the wire from the bottom of the engine and saw a slight fraying, so cut and soldered a new joint.
Everything looks fine now but the light still doesn't come on. Is there something obvious I should be looking at? A Fuse? anything?
I've turned to the Jaffa cakes, please help before I eat another packet!
Jon

If you found a frayed wire you may well have shorted the circuit and blown a fuse. Its a good place to start anyway.
