Feel free to move this post - I'm close to being done. I'm sure you'll see a few things that need to be changed but I haven't been able to ride for months so I had to go! There was a bit of cutting in the front, middle and back so I guess it's sorta custom. Thanks to all those from this board who have come before me and given ideas or sold me parts! The bike is so nice... so very, very nice. And to see it in such great photos really does it justice. I am extremely inspired by what you've done!

Excellent work, dude. This should probably be in the Member's Ride forum, yes? On review, CHROME CAM COVER! On further review, do you have a sixth photo of similar quality? http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/administrative/submit-your-bike/

"God bless Willie Nelson." Okay... now, not only do I LOVE your bike, I want to meet you in person, my friend!!! The bike, the backdrop, the endorsement, the looker looking at the onlookers... it all adds up to some pretty good stuff with the bike as the centre of attention. Someday perhaps, but meantime nothing but respect!

I just simply like it, very clean...not big on the bars, but thats just me, they sure do look nice though, very nice job on your bike, and the green, stunning.

My first Triumph was an 04 green and silver America! Yours is awesome, I have 1 criticism and this is just my personal opinion But I think the chrome strip under the tank is tacky, I bet it would look better without it, but to each his own, awesome bike tho

Absolutely beautiful, love all the details. And the photography and scenery is just really nice! The electronic speedo in the dash gives the whole front end a clean custom look. Are those Harley bars? Congratulations, well done.

what's the instrument in the panel on the tank ? (what does it read - speedo? - looks like it could be mult-function....) - I'm curious about the brand and model in case I want to do the same.
beautiful bike!!! I love how clean the lines are on everything.

Great looking bike. Like the tombstone/blinkers, speedo, bars/mirrors, everything else for that matter. Great scenery too. Your tag 3umph-
Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
I'll be adjusting the bars to be inline w/the forks when I swap some stuff around. As for the shape/size, I came from Rocket3 bars that were only 1/2" shorter. The pullback was almost the same. The only significant difference is the center width is tighter on these but the hand position is most important to me and I think it's sameish and really comfortable. I bought others (see classifieds) but wanted to go this way. If you don't dig these maybe you're into those? Mailman, not HD. Because there are plenty of them I looked at them but most were 7/8" and there are a ton of other shops making cool stuff too.
Thanks again to Tom from Brokenfixed Customs for helping make what I thought was one of the ugliest parts of the bike look better.
Thanks Canyonwlf. It's pretty temporary so if you come by to ride I'll take it off for you!
Ok, Keith backatcha. You had me long ago when you said you only threw out 4 bags of trash in a year. Come on down - less typin' more ridin'! We should strum.
It sounds great w/the BC Bombers and runs like a different bike. Being able to shave off those exhaust hangers helped to get rid of another one of those things I thought were ugly. That list is getting smaller...
All work done in my buddy's garage. He was a Triumph tech for many years and since there's no dealer here anymore he had to move along...to DynaJet. You can trust that it runs like a bad mfr.
Hasso,Dakota Digital in the dash. Multi-function and I toggle functions w/the button to the left.
Those pics were taken at Red Rock Canyon and it's pretty simple to take a nice photo over there so I can't take any credit for that. I thought it was cool that non-motorcycle people even noticed it in those surroundings.

One can find a tombstone tail light from several manufacturers and vendors. That's a Kuryakyn & it's made to go w/their bullet signals, which I've been using for a few years. I thought the stock tail light was pretty clunky and most of the others I liked were a little too small for the safety side of my taste. I settled on this led version and noticed that our brother KaiserSoze had already done this mod (check out his badass!). I pm'd for advice and he suggested to start cutting a bit small and drink as you go. Also the rubber gasket takes a little working to fit our shape of fender. My buddy is pretty good at that stuff so he made it look really smooth. I can't say I'd have the same result! No theivery when permission isn't required, but here goes - go on, one and all, and replace the clunky stocker. Just post pics.
Most of the pics were from Red Rock Canyon and a couple were from a park near my house but you can see part of RR in the background.

Man, that is one gorgeous bike! It's all in the details, and I love how you got everything working together.
I'm trying to do a few similar things on mine, got the battery moved and side covers off, along with my front fender. I'm looking for bars next, and those bars look about perfect. There's a couple threads on here illustrating the difficulty in getting good aftermarket bars, so I gotta ask which ones you went with. Having issues finding ones with the right combination of height, width and hand position. Plus you seem to have found ones drilled for internal wiring, which I'd like to do.

The bike is absolutely beautiful, but man that scenery makes me want to hit the road again. Rode across Nevada (and several other states) on U.S. 50 this summer and not sure I will ever be the same.

The bars are from J&P cycles. They've got a ton of stuff. To be honest I'm not certain but I think these are Flanders. I actually made a chart w/measurements for about 20 bars to compare and bought a couple. I'm pretty sure these are some version of a 10" ape. They were not drilled. I'd recommend drilling yourself if possible. No cable issues going from the BA to R3 bars and none here either.
Thom, as you've seen there is great riding in all directions. There are plenty of negatives here if you care to find them but who can argue w/that scenery?

Great lookin ride you have there! I am really loving the K&N air filters set-up and the battery relocation mod too. Gives the bike a real retro look!

sorry Rex, go to drag specialties for the bars not J&P. I can dig out receipts one day to find out what came from where. I bought it all over a couple months so I don't recall everything.

Another ride out yesterday and a friend took a bunch of shots. [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] I don't really care for the front at the moment. I need more than just the headlight but I also want it clean. Or maybe I don't want it clean b/c I sorta think I liked it better w/signals mounted under the side bulbs. I do like the mirror light/signals but just the light bar looks kinda e.t. at some angles. Besides the backordered parts and what's sitting here I thought I was almost done. Damn. [image] [/image]
