A buddy of mine is a great artist, he asked me to take some close up shots of my engine for him to play around with. He does not trace and follow guidelines, it is all freehand. He is willing to do personal projects if commissioned. The first pic is a work in progress, the second is a poor scan of a Brough Superior. Message me if you want more info.

Awesone! Not sure if its a optical illusion or if I have a bad monitor but the cylinder head fin in that first pic are shaking like the bike is running...maybe too much coffee, anyone else see this?

Yes! Could be the contrast between light and dark and the refresh rate of our monitors!...but a cool illusion either way!

Very nice renderings there, Jerry. The detail and his sense of proportion is great. Your friend is indeed very talented.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

He has a great eye for details, and an excellent ability to translate it to medium. I wonder if he works in other mediums.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

Soren, I will get you a link to his work. Jim works in pencil only as far as I know. He does lots of military stuff as well and donates lots of art for auction to benefit wounded warriors.

Funnily enough, I have seen the wobbling/shaking when looking at my bike in the garage. Go take a look.

Here is the link to Jim's website, it is one day old so give him time to refine it and get more art posted. http://www.jfmdesigns.com/
