This is a wouldn't it be cool to do "event". The map shows the general idea (the route mapped is 5 states, 421 miles, 9 hours 20 minutes). Rules are you have to have a gas receipt from states in this order 1. Virginia (Start: Wytheville, Travel Centers of America Truck Stop, 2. West Virginia, 3. Kentucky, 4. Tennessee, 5. North Carolina, 6. Virginia (Finish: Wytheville, Travel Centers of America). Riders would have a jackrabbit start from the truck stop at 0600. First bike back to the truck stop with gas receipts from all required states wins. Buy in could be something like 100 bucks... 1st takes 50%, 2nd takes 30%, 3rd takes 20%. This could all be done in one day during daylight hours. Whatcha think?

I think it would be a blast. The main idea is you have to hit all 5 states, in order (how you would do it is up to you). I've looked all over the US and this is the only way you could hit all 5 states in under 12 hours. With it being in our backyard makes it even better! Alot of the ride (if you choose this route) is on some kick a$$ twisties (like the "snake" US 421).

Mark those would be some great runs too. First one could be the Mississippi Mud Run, second one High Plains Drifter! In fact, this could be our own Iron Butt Series. You could get a patch for each series you complete. Each one would have to be 5 states in under say 10 hours (5x10).

I missed one literally in my own backyard. The map says it can be done in under 10 hours but I doubt the traffic would ever allow it. I might actually try it Sunday to see how close you can come to doing it. I'll call it the "DC Runaround". Beginning and ending at my home in Warrenton the "six" states hit will be Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware.

You could easily add Mississippi to that.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

That looks like a nice route, but why rush it?

It's possible, but I think you'd end up looping back to Memphis to cross the river. Not that familiar with the area, but the route suggestions were not finding a crossing to the south.

The Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico,Colorado, Kansas route is held every year. Called "the five state run" in the spring for about the last 4 or 5 years. I think it only takes about 5 hours depending how much you stop and sightsee. Its a charity Poker Run.
