Received a pair of Stainless Ride XL slashcuts for my '04 Speedmaster. It took a little over 4 weeks for delivery and it was worth the wait.

These pipes have an excellent tone at cruising speeds with a little more bark under hard acceleration.

My experience in the past with fiberglass packed pipes is that they mellow out with a little age and I expect these to do the same and loose some of the harsh bark under hard acceleration.

The polished stainless steel is brilliant, the heavy gage stainless should stand up very well over time and the fit and finish is very good.

I would recommend these to anyone looking for a quality set of exhaust with an excellent sound quality.

Best of all I got them for 20% off.

Good Luck and ride safe!

Is this the current re-organization of EPCO?

Yea, I believe they did, nothing wrong with Epco s or Stainless Ride, I run a set on my lowered bike, mine are loud enough to set off car alarms occasionally. Repacking them this winter, is high on my to do list.

Will these work with EFI? I am new to all of this...where do I get the remapping program for them? Will this kill my warranty?

you would need to get something like a power camander or something of the like for the bike, warranties are a fickle little thing, if you changed the mapping and the pipes etc and something went wrong with the engine they could try to make you eat it (really depends allot on the dealer) but if say your brakes went or any part that was not associted with the mod then no it would not. Some dealers are very mod friendly (can you say sales) but others are not so much.

PS someone might chime in here, but your efi will allow for certain mods without change, not certain about these pipes though.

Go to the website: stainlessride.com

They list the XL slash cuts for the America and Speedmaster EFI models and they can perhaps provide additional info on mapping, etc.

I now carry these pipes as well and have a set that has a small ding in the finish, they sent it to me to evaluate. Fine looking pipes and yes they did buy out Epco.

Anyone want to save some money on a set, this will be marked down and I will send you a photo of the blemish (it is actually in this large photo so you already can see if you look for it...that's the point, it is fairly small.

They even wrap the pipes in a black cloth case with a "gold" strand closure, a touch of class!

Will let you know as soon as I hear back from Stainless. Figured instead of sending them back to them save the shipping and pass savings on to the crew.

Let us know what you think of these when you get them installed.

I'm still liking mine but am sad that our riding time is getting very short here in the upper midwest.

Good luck and ride safe,

Bluto

I'll post comments as well as a video link. The only thing to still like about Calif. is our extended riding season.
