Got on the bike this morning, key in, turned on - lights come on as usual. Flipped the switch to Run - console Engine & Neutral lights come on as usual. Hit the starter button - hear what sounds to be the solenoid, and all lights go dead. Nothing.
Switch off, on, off. Nothing. Turn key off, back on - lights are back, with the switch on Run console lights are back, hit the starter button - exact same results.
Lights appear as bright as normal, would seem to be ok on the battery. Tried without the driving lights just because - same result. I've started the bike with less juice, but I've never had everything cut off like this.
The bike is a 2008 America, carburated (not EFI). Stored in the garage, hasn't been in the rain or otherwise wet lately - spent 8/20 on a charity ride in the rain, but hadn't had any problems since, and it is my daily commuter.
Had to get to work so I didn't have time to check the fuses.
Any and all suggestions appreciated.

My guess is loose battery cables. Second is check the fuses.
I've become comfortably numb

I might as well check the fuses and battery, as the dealer is saying a week or more to get a relay in.

You don't need a OEM Triumph relay, go to an electronics supply store, match the pins and values, they go for about $2.50, that blew my mind, the actual cost difference, I mean, when I found them at the store

Got home and nothing was working. Then it was (at least like it was before). Which seemed more like a bad connection.
Took off and slightly moved the battery cables and reattached - we have fire, i.e., its running.
Thanks for those that replied, and the board in general; I hadn't thought I had read anything like this, but with Grzegorz's post I was able to find posts very similar.
About alternative sources for the relay - that was my next step, taking off the existing one and wandering into likely places to see if I could find a match - was concerned because knowing absolutely nothing about them I wasn't sure what I would have to look for. But now you've given me that information in case it is ever needed, so thanks for that also!
