I removed my gas tank to install a chrome cam cover, and when I put the tank back on it seems looser than before. If I rock it side to side it deflects about 1 inch. Is this normal? I don't remember it moving that much.

The bolt under the seat is tight, and I was surprised that was the only fastener holding the tank on. Any one else experience this or learn any tricks when re-installing the gas tank?

You need to slide the tank foward onto the 2 hooks in front first.

I did that once, didn't notice the looseness but did see that my upper tree was almost touching my tank. Then I rocked the tank and realized what it was. I didn't sink my rubber into the slot. Nice and tight afterward.
