So there is a small crack in the windshield where it mounts at the right bottom side, which has me thinking about new windshields in my future. Can't figure if I want another Triumph windscreen, or go with something else. Memphis shades? What is everyone else using?

I am mostly looking for protection from the bugs Soren always stirs up ahead of me, but also like to direct the wind around me a bit, without the buffeting.

I like my Clearview, larger than stock sizes and uses factory hardware

Hmm, I'm really dissapointed with the Roadster screen for the 2011 America. It's not as tall as indicated in the advertising. Triumph say it's the see through one. You'd have to be a dwarf to be looking through the screen when riding. I get lots of buffeting. I live in UK and as far as I know, the Clearview isn't available here and the 2011 Roadster brackets have been modified. I've emailed Clearview about this so hope for a reply soon... Been considering making a screen myself to fit the brackets, dunno how difficult this will be.

I had really loved my Memphis Shades Demon on the Honda Shadow I had. I went through three shields before I discovered that one was the best for that little bike. I will have to check out Clearview now since I have a real motorcycle now.

Just had to pitch that one in there. Loved my Honda as a starter, but it was too small too fast for me. LOVE my America now.

I'd suggest the Dart flyscreen, but it won't stop all the bug stuff you get from Soren.

Although, you could try riding in front of him...

I'm assuming you want a direct replacement for your stock roadster screen brackets, otherwise I'd be shouting WINDVEST WINDVEST WINDVEST from the rooftops...

+1 on the Clearview. Wider than stock and can cut down to size for a perfect fit. Lowers are worthwhile adding if wind buffeting is an issue.

Friar I finally bought a Windvest for the old Speedmaster. I got a great buy on eBay. $85.00 plus shipping, $114.00 total. It's the clear shield and I may spring for a new tinted replacement. Seems okay but I'm having a little trouble getting it set to the sweet spot. Any advice would be appreciated.

I actually had tried 4 different shields (including the WindVest) before finding what worked best for me. It was the Clearview Summer Screen replacement (17") in light gray. I've now had it for 5 years and still extremely happy with it - both looks and function. The Mulberry red America on their website is my bike.

Not sure. Mine is slanted back quite a bit. It always just seemed to work. I got a similarly deep discount by buying used (I think I paid $150 for mine).

I believe mine was originally intended for the Speedmaster, and has the semi-circular cut-out on the front leading edge for the speedometer. As soon as I get around to installing the Jim's spacers on Reboot I'll be able to tilt the Windvest up a little and it will be nearly perfect. In either case the notch almost touches the speedometer.

So it looks like I will be looking for a clearview next. As for getting in front of Soren? Ummm... any time I twist the throttle, he seems to find that to be a great excuse to go even faster! Although my America could keep up with him, my ride skill may not unless I'm in the corners. Any straight flat road is runway for that man to fly!

I have a Clearview screen on my Trophy 900. I find it first class. The guys at Clearview are very helpful, and shipping to the UK was no problem.

I have a wind vest type wind shield. I'll see if I can post a pic it will have to be this evening. Let me know if your interested.
