Tried to find Mobil 1 Racing 4T 15-50 locally. Auto Zone and OReillys can't even order it. Wally world doesn't carry it. It's time consuming and expensive to order it from my dealer. Any help out there? (And please don't muddy this up by recommending another oil that is just as good. I really want what I've been running.) One additional note, though. Auto Zone DOES carry 10-40 in 4T. But I think I've heard on here that it runs a little hot. Opinions?

Maybe NAPA or one of those chain places like cycle gear of hole shots. The dealership here switched to Castrol.

Had the oil changed at the dealer and they had switched from Mobil 1 to the new Castrol Synthetic too. Said it was what Triumph was recommending these days.
'06 TBA - Black, AI and Snorkel removed, K&N Drop In, Gutted Stock Pipes, 145/42, 2 turns out.

So seeing as how you dont want to muddy things up? hmmm, well i just use 10/40 castrol full syn. hot as he!! here in Tejas and have not had any problems. I dont have a temp gauge for my oil,, I just change it a little more often.

I believe the Mobil 1 4T 15W-50 is/was exclusive to Triumph dealers
Mobil's own website only shows 4T in 10W-40 & 20W-50

The weird thing is, Auto Zone carries 10-40 4t, but not 20-50 in 4T, only the regular synthetic. I'm gonna think about using the 10-40 unless somebody chimes in here and screams.

Oh, and Ryk, thanks for the link, but they are getting $15 a quart and Auto Zone is only getting $11 right on the shelf.

I've always run the 10w40 Mobile-1 4T. Never had any heating problems. And it does get hot here.

Castrol Syntec is now Castrol Edge.It is part of a new oil designation called Dexos. 2011 and newer GM vehicles call for oil that meets those specs. I have run Amsoil 20w50 from day 1.
