This is fiona, as purchased this past June - She is a 2002 TBA in the fastest color they make.....

Her first evolution included adding saddlebags and a windscreen. I have always hated these bags - NOTHING made them fit properly....the windscreen works very well - it's a smoked SHD-1 which I had my dealer order from fast eddy for me (when I was less do-it-yourself, lo those many weeks ago....)

Next came a tank cover, with cell phone pocket, along with a clock and new pegs with stirrups, and a new speedo - all from this board - and new grips (bought at a dealer).

Up next....chrome GFG and chrome passenger peg hangers (also bought right here at BA). (and I took off the bags - they made me angry every time I looked at them) - I took the shield off as well, for now - weather is gorgeous - it'll come back though. Note the full helmet....that's the trade-off I make when I take the screen off. But it's nice to actually hear the engine.

Oh yeah - also took off those wire frame things (whatever they're called) for the saddlebags. I have a set of viking bags on order that are semi-rigid. I will call them my cialis bags. What a big difference taking those wires off made - at least to me - in apprearance.

and, the piece de resistance...a little triumph medalion to finish off the passenger seat bolt (hard to see - but it's there).

I am endebted to this site, and a lot of folks on here for being able to quickly and at reasonable cost get my bike into the form I want her in.

I still have LED instrument lights, union jack battery cover (chrome) - joker union jack brake fluid cover (chrome) and signal light relocation kit on order from fasteddy - plus the new "cialis" bags - all of which should arrive this week. WOO!

More changes.....and not done yet - but I like where it's going...

I've changed out the black chain guard for chrome.

Added semi-hard bags from viking - very pleased with them - they mounted up very easily and were not terribly expensive.

New helix racing (from jc whitney) 20" turnouts in place of the long TORs (they sound awesome).

Union Jack batter box cover.

And the Triumph black and chrome dart flyscreen - which I am really digging.

up next - new seat, driving lights, Baron handle bar risers.

and then I'm done for a while.....

Looking really good. One thing you really need to do is a clutch cable dress up kit. One of these days we're going to go riding. I went up to Harpers Ferry today. It was a great ride.

Thanks! I've thought about going braided cables - just have been kind of avoiding the whole topic - cables and I don't get along..... I should really just write you when I'm heading out - I did a long ride today too - out to mt. weather, then down through middleburg and the plains and back out to gainesville.

New paint!!! I am totally jacked with how the paint came out (sort of building around the seat, which is new also).

new risers:

new speedo in the console (koso d64 - love it!)

side cover with new paint and logo:

new tank paint (custom color, matched to seat - 3 stage paint with a slightly pearlized cream accent - also new knee pads)

close up of new paint:

and finally - most of the bike with new paint:

I just picked her back up tonight - can't wait to see the new colors in the daylight tomorrow!!

Thanks - I'm WAY jacked about how it came out. I'm debating whether to paint the fenders or not - I kind of like the contrast having them black. next decision will be whitewalls or not...

I think if I leave the fenders black, I'll leave the t(y)ires black - if I paint the fenders, I'll go whitewalls. gotta see it all in the daylight.

I did a search, and bumped them up to page one.

Beautiful paint job there, Hasso!

Hey! Here's a suggestion...get your fenders chromed! YEAH! I think that would look pretty cool. You'd basically have that beautiful "Root Beer" color contrasted solely against the chrome.

Think about it. I really think it would look great.

(..and remember, many a Triumph had chromed fenders back in the day, and that color you have is very retro-cool)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Like others here, I LOVE the paint but I must say the seat is amazing too. Your bike is quite the show stopper!

Root beer was definitely in my mind (HD has a great root beer color that was my starting point with the paint shop - then modded to match the seat)

Thanks, Keith. I feel like that kholer commercial - "can you build a house around this faucet?"

I "designed" the seat and ordered from Corbin - they talked me out of the dark red piping. They were right. I'm glad they called to discuss!

I've got about 1200 miles on the seat now and I wouldn't trade it for anything. SO comfortable.

Thanks!

You know - the cream color on the tank is now named at the paint shop....I brought in a big picture of a guiness and pointed to the foam and said "I want that color for the cream accent".

It is now just known as "guiness foam"

I may have to change fiona's name to "black and tan"

Hasso, Jumpin jiminy crickets batman! Please use an image resizer before posting your photos! When you use LARGE images it just sucks to move the horizontal scroll bar ALL THE TIME!

I've used this free software for years. No worries.

(Although for the first post of yours with large images I was lazy, I got off my ass and kept a link to your full size images for the second post of yours that had those beautiful large photos btw.)

I would do the fenders to match the tank and side panel
To me it looks unfinished leaving the fenders black; but that's just me
