After band practice, at 5:30pm. I jumped on Matilda to head home. Man its hot so I headed up to the petrol station to top the tank off and get some cold water. As I stood at the register I remembered that when I was in junior high school we made a joke that one day some one will make a fortune selling water in bottles at gas stations.

I flat out refuse to buy water in a bottle. Tea, soda, Gatorade... anything but water.

Okay! Do I have to post that picture of W.C. Fields with the caption, "Aah, I never drink the stuff because fish f*** in it!", again in THIS thread???

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I think I like Evian more now that Ive learned this. Theres a certain kind of respect that needs to be given to a company that insults their own customers.

"drink it and like it you sheep"!

You know what the funniest part of it is?????????

I found a water bottling plant, the fresh spring water comes straight out of the city water supply and is ozone-ated, filtered then bottled, labeled, and shippped out.

Pepsi's Aquafina and Coca~Cola's Dasani brands are nothing but city water, filtered and with some added minerals. And then you've got all the toxic chemicals in the plastic bottle...

I want to see a return to glass bottles. Then in my old age (after Social Security is gone and my retirement funds have tanked), I can work at the grocery store sorting bottles like I did as a teen.

I've never been able to figure out why there's an expiry date on bottled water. What's gonna happen to it?

One of the biggie news shows did a bit on bottled water last year, in New York City. The locals first took a few minutes to explain why they hated the water out of the tap. Then they took a blind taste test on 5 unmarked bottles of water, all but one, famous brands. The winner? New York City tap water! Hands down!
