Hi all, I have still no internet yet but managed to get on long enough to get some pics for you all to see. The project is coming along and have spent about 80 hours so far. The work was done by me including all the fabrication, seat pan and upholstery, paint etc, etc. Oil in the frame is a pain in the you know what but if done proparly they look the duck's guts. I may call this one first time lucky as this is my 1st custom. Go to Snappermans gallery as I dont know yet how to put up the URL or whatever it is to send you strait to the pics. The black bobber in my pics was what it looked like 2 months ago. Let me know what ya-all think. Will be back soon.

Frank...I still have some wiring to do and rear brakes and foot clutch to hook up but 2 years ago it was my everyday ride as a bobber untill I got my BA and it runs just as good as a T140 should. FAST and loud. Hey adey, you can delete my pics when you learn to spell accidentally and no copying my spelling. aussie, aussie, aussie..oi, oi, oi

Doh!!!!!

The state of the grammar and spelling on this site and you bust my nads for one 'l' ??
LOL.

I'm thoroughly ashamed that I'm being given English lessons from an Aussie!!

I wish this site had a spill chucker built-in.

Incredible, great job. Love the arrest-me red paint. You are right, that OIF looks the business.
I've seriously considered getting/building something like that next year. I don't have much in the way of metal-fab skills, so I've looked at some already completed bikes on Ebay. I've also been reading up over at the Jockey Journal so at least I'll have some know-how when I'm ready to make a committment.
Thanks for posting, keep the pix coming!

I Like it, I like it uh lot.

Very nice. Very simplistic and straight to the point. Two big thumbs up!

Nice job on the chop. I've been wanting to build one myself and now I have a little more appreciation of the OIF bikes! Are you going to use an external oil tank or keep the OIF?
Also I saw a cool setup on a jockey shift today. The guy mounted his clutch lever right on the shifter lever. It looked wild and you just grab it and shift.

Vintage6t...I will keep the OIF as the electrical will go under the seat. I was originally going to put an oil tank on to put the electrical inside but have decided to let it all hang out as in the original old school style. As far as the jockey shift clutch goes...that was also an idea that was tossed around like a Pommie on a Rugby field by an Aussie but again went with the simplier foot clutch.
Melvin...If I had a spare Jaffe cake I would give you 2 for knowing your stuff. It is a Yammie 650 rear rim and was chosen for a couple of reasons. 1st was the fact it was a mag and not a spoke. 40 spoke rim on the front (a must on any chop) and a nice looking solid on the rear. 2nd is that it is a drum brake and not a disc which means less crap to hang off the the rear of the bike (BRAKES....we don't need no stinkin brakes). Anyway guys, thanx for the feed back and will post a couple of more pics soon. Darren
