Beautiful bike Brian. BA/SM owners of black bikes reckon their bikes are quicker but we owners of the graphite ones know ours are the most comfortable. What's the go with the bell under your bike?

Sharp looking bike. Glad to see you spell Brian the right way.

John Q, looks like a gremlin bell. I have 2 on mine. One came with it the other was given to me by my father-in-law when I first got the bike. http://www.gremlinbells.com/

Yes, It's a gremlin bell. The myth is it protects your bike from all the little gremlins along the road. It might work on the little ones, but the big ones that stop in front of you, not so much.

Well I'll be damned. Gremlin Bells. You learn something every day. I like the idea behind them though. Will have to keep my eyes open for some down under. They might even help protect us Aussies from those nasty little drop bears whilst we're out riding.

MYTH!? Don't listen to him John... those things are for REAL but only when used in the proper manner. It works like this: someone has to bring you the bell as a gift. To just go out and buy one won't work. It will hang there but not protect. So, that's the first thing to know about Gremlin (or Spirit) bells. Should someone give you one it's important to hang it in the best possible place on your bike. That place should be as close to the road as possible, 'cause the gremlins are there on the road ready to jump up and mess with you. You see, they can't stand the sound of that bell and when they hear it they run the other way.

One other thing... over time the ring those bells hang from wears out and the dang thing falls right off. At that time it's okay to replace it yourself... only initially is it important a bell as a gift.

This is not the only time I've heard of using bells for protection. For example... many a Shaman will tell you hanging bells on doors, or in the car will keep away evil and devious spirits. I'm sure there are many other related applications out there.

Do they really protect? Hey... I'm living proof!!!

I like the pics along the National Seashore. I lived in P-Cola and Milton when I was in flight training. Rode my bike along Santa Rosa Island many times.

Thanks guys. Smokey,if you've been through flight training in the last 12 to 13 yrs ago, I may have run across you out on base. Been doing work for the navy's operational and aviation medicine institutes and their survival training institute since '98.
