Hey all,
Is the install for the Progressive 412 shocks a take the old ones off and install the new ones? What are all those black short round pieces for? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

Those pieces are so the bushings will fit on different size posts, different applications. I don't believe you will need them, but I might be wrong. It's been a while since I put mine on. It will all be clear when you take one off.

Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

Thanks roadworthy, got them mounted with the thinnest bushings and you were right, soon as I took one off, things became clear. Ride is a little rough over the bumps right now, but the horrible front end dive on hard braking is much improved with the progressive fork springs.

Just left them at lowest setting. Should I change them?

Prolly...how much do you weigh? Mine are on the 2nd setting, I ride solo, & I'm about 170 without the gear.

Gave 'em a bump up two notches, and with the 120 miles on them, felt a lot better on the way to work today. Thanks for the input. Ride safe!

on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst ride you could possibly imagine how does it feel?

Stock I would give 6/10, now, that the progressive springs have broke in a bit and with the adjustment on the preload suggested, it is up to 4/10. really helped with that front end dive on the stock springs...
