Has anybody had their swingarm chrome plated? I'm thinking about getting mine done, along with the footpeg hangars.

The swingarm isn't aluminum is it? Obviously I'd just polish it if that was the case...

The swing arm is steel... and you can buy the peg hangers in chrome. Someone here recently had them for sale in the Classifieds.

I wonder if it would be cheaper to have the existing hangars chromed? Especially if I was getting a few items done...

How much are they charging to do the swingarm?

Well , the chrome guys I've talked to charge more to chrome than the factory part would cost .

The swingarm in that pic might still be black.

There does seem to be a line in the middle of that bar. Now that I can see it on my computer rather than my blackberry.
I wonder who makes those, and how good they are.

Then they're the skinniest 'shocks' I've ever seen, Keith...even though I also see that line runnin' across the middle of 'em too.

Nope, I think Tom is right. I think those are just struts.

(...though remember I said "think" here, not "I'm sure")

Wow! No, sorry John. I don't remember this character at all.

(...so what was his major malfunction?)

He screwed over Robert over some custom bodywork on his bike. Probably one of the major nails in the coffin that was Robert leaving the site. It was a bad deal. I don't care what his bike looks like, he's persona non grata around here.
