We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Waste of time. She wasn't fit to carry Janis' shoes. Just because they were both musicians and died in a similar manner doesn't warrant elevating her to the same level.

Her career was really over. She was at one time an interesting singer, she was also at one time at least a little bit attractive,( she looks disgusting in that second picture).
In the last couple of years she did nothing of note. So I guess getting into the 27 club was all that was left for her.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

An acquired taste, I suppose. I love a good blues singer but never found her to be anything other than a curiosity. She had it all and threw it away. Reminds me of a couple of brothers-in-law that I know.
