You can acomplish the same thing cheaper by getting a set of stock tall risers . They're straight , but by virtue of the rake they will bring the bars back towards you . It's just Allen bolts holding them on .

2005 Model . Two Fast Eddy stickers , a bell and a clock . She's Lola . She tinkles and keeps time . http://s649.photobucket.com/albums/uu211/britbike05/

I have not used them but they would take stress off your back if you find yourself reaching forward too much. I like the look of those ones better than the straight ones.

You didn't say the year but I looked up a 2010 America on bike bandit http://www.bikebandit.com/2010-triumph-america/o/m18745#sch631955 Looks like there is a chrome plug (16) that covers the Allen Bolt (30).....

They are actually plastic covers that look like chrome. They will pop off and reveal allen head bolts.

FYI, Harley style bolts are too big for the holes in your top yoke. The spacing is correct (in case you want to go with T-bars) so you either need to drill the holes out a bit or find some stepped bolts. I think I got mine at Scootworks.com or cruisercustomizing.com.

I drilled out the holes on my speedmaster to fit harley type raiser...the hole is not too much bigger than stock, so if you go back to stock bolts you should be ok.....

The bolt is a M10x70 (12) and the nut is M10 locknut (13)

http://www.bikebandit.com/2010-triumph-america/o/m18745#sch631955

The risers usually come with the bolts to install them. If you switch to Harley they are Standard inch size bolts..I would guess around 7/16" bolt which is just slightly bigger than a M10 (10 mm bolt).

If you stay with parts from British Customs http://www.british-customs.com/ or Fast Eddy http://www.fasteddysports.com/ or New Speedmaster http://www.newspeedmaster.com/index.html

They all have risers that fit the bike with no mod's...

Well, okay, I have the order email still...

1 SWH-001 SWH-001 Riser/Handlebar Adapter studs, coarse thread $13.95 $13.95

...but I've never actually mounted them on a bike yet. They do screw into the Harley risers, though.
