OK boys and girls... the journal in my hot little hands.
I was thinking that we could maybe plan a get together somewhere and have a journal signing. What do you think?

Im not opposed to passing it around but I really don't want it to get stuck here for a long period of time.

Let me know what you think and well do whatever....

Perhaps we could get a rendezvous at Ocean Shores on July 29 (if weather is good) ?
I think something is happening there on that day...

My bad, I meant Saturday July 30. If the weather is nice, I want to try and go out to Ocean Shores. Never been there and figured it would be a good time to check it out.

Or, Kansas is playing at Snoqualmie Casino on July 31. If the weather is good, I'm leaning to riding up there (I s'pose I should buy my ticket). We could all rendezvous there and enjoy a great show?

Z,
My brother (the one who convinced me to buy a Triumph), is arriving tonight with his daughters for the weekend. Sunday might be a possibility for a meet-up.
Maybe we could do something at the Buzz Inn or something down in the south end (ie Mt. Rainier)? It might attract a few people that could sign the book and one could take possession of it. With my travel schedule, I'd be hesitant to take it. It might sit with me for quite a while and I'd rather it keep circulating around. I think Bob would be the better choice.
But with the forecast of the sun breaking out, I intend to get out and ride more!!

The 30th looks open for me. Weather permitting, I think a ride, sign, eat, and hangout event would be great.

Fish,
I talked with my brother, who is up visiting, and he's not leaving until "sometime on Sunday". So I don't think I can make the 11AM meet time in Ashford.
I might ride out to Mt. Rainier later in the day, but I'll head towards Enunclaw and that route. Maybe I'll pass y'all on the road!!

I hope you guys have a great time & ride. The forecast looks great for riding!!

FWIW, my brother was the one who convinced me to forget Yamaha and go with Triumph. Over the years, he has had a couple of Harleys and a souped-up Buell. Today was the first day he's seen my bike. He seemed impressed by it. I know he's thinking of trading his old H-D trike (taking up space in his garage) for a 60's vintage Bonny. So there's hope for him yet!!

Sorry Bob and Z, but I haven't seen my brother and his daughters in 3+ years. Plus, I need his help in getting some old heavy CRT tv's down the stairs and out of my place (since my left arm is not very helpful). He can't do that until mid-morning or so tomorrow.

I know those twisties are really tempting Z and I'd like to check them out too, although not at the same speed!!

I hope you guys have a great ride tomorrow.

Z,
Fish still has it. We haven't been able to coordinate a meet-up yet. I can't do anything this weekend or next.

How about a meet up at the Oyster Run Sept 25th for all those in the general area who'd like a chance to sign that elusive tome. just an idea .

Had you made it to Nelson you would have had a chance

Im sure that can be arranged. If Friar makes it here for Oyster Run then it can head easy with him.

I'm still hoping to get my hands on the journal before then. Just need to coordinate something "interesting" with Fish.
I don't know if I will be around for the Oyster Run. Worse case, I can get it to Z (or Bob) and he can carry it for Gordie before it heads back east.

Don't sweat it Gordie. I saw the elusive said journal changing hands in a Nelson parking lot. When Z or Bob or sumbody was heard to say "Wait your turn, it'll turn up in Montana after we gather some Washington entries"

Dont get overly caught up in the "interesting" part. The idea here is to keep it moving.
