Hope you enjoyed the game Mikey,

Good to watch a bunch of overpaid, obnoxious, lilly livered,
self important, soft, girly, mancunians running around looking at themselves in admiration.

Hope they stay over that side of the pond, you guys will never get converted to football (sorry Soccer) if you watch that lot.

Cheers
Chris

Well, well, well. Once again I am obliged to teach are colonial friends a few very important lessons.

Now, please pay attention!

IN REAL FOOTBALL
We actually do use our feet to play
We don't stop play every six seconds
We're not covered head to toe in pads
We don't suck oxygen on the sidelines
We play more than one game a week
And we have a REAL World Championship

So if you can't handle that
Go play that sorry excuse for a sport
You call Football
You Wimps!

I have this printed on a t-shirt that i wear with pride every saturday!

Oh, and PS.....any half decent rugby team would wipe the floor with any of your NFL football teams. So, stick that in your pipe.

WHOA! Mark! Cool your jets here, dude! (that's one of our little "colonial colloquialism" there, you understand...loosely translated from British English to American English it means: "settle down a minute")

With that above comment of mine, I wasn't making fun of that little "kickball" game you seem to like for whatever reason.

NO! I was merely pointing out that with you being such a big fan of those fellas who play "kickball" for that Arsenal Team over there on that little island situated off the coast of Europe(I'm talkin' about the U.K. here, of course), and with Arsenal fans feeling pretty much the same way about those fellas who play "kickball" for that Manchester United team as say most Boston Red Sox fans feel about those dreaded New York Yankees...well, MY POINT was that because ManU was playin' over here in the Good Ol' U.S. of A, and with YOU being such a rabid Arsenal fan, that YOU would have the opportunity to be REALLY rooting against them, AND, or maybe BUT, at "closer range"(now that you reside here in said "Good Ol' U.S. of A"), and hence my comment that I fully expected it would be YOU who might be the very first soul at this website to offer up a less than flattering viewpoint about those ManU players.

(...who play that little game of "kickball"!)

Hey Dwight. I get your gist ole boy. And under normal circumstances I would of course have a list of abuse to hurl at Manure and any other team. BUT! In this instance, any team from Europe who tours the US in the summer and helps to bring attention to the Worlds Greatest game here in the US i am behind. Real Madrid are in the US, Barcelona will be here in (or are here) there are a few teams coming here this summer. I just wish the Arsenal would come, but instead they went to Asia.

And of course, any opportunity for me to spill my oppinions on the merits of Real football compared to the American Throwball game is something that I cannot back away from.

Come on The Arsenal!!!

I get to go to the Real Madrid / Chivas Guadalajara game here in San Diego on Wednesday. I'm pretty stoked. It'll be the first match I've been to.

Good to see the NFL locker room attendants and towel boys found work during the lockout.
