My first run at the route is 184 miles and a bit over 5.5 hours per mapquest. Crooked roads on a lot of it so MQ calculates a longer time than normal. There are lots of alternate routes, especially on the "after lunch" section. Looks as if Mountain Home would be most likely lunch place. A number of places to choose from there.

Cool overall rating of the bridge, "Structurally deficient" I think we should go for it. A little added danger in rallies spices things up. Also it is not too far from Blanchard Springs Caverns. Maybe we could check that out as an excuse to stretch and get off the bikes for a while. We did that at one of the GA rallies to Lookout Mtn. in Tn. in '08 I believe, and went into the caverns and it was pretty cool.

It has been a while since I have been to Allison but I don't remember anyplace to eat other than the boat dock on the White River a bit upstream from there.

Ha, Yes would be a thrill probably. I used to ride across the War Eagle bridge just off AR12 before it was rebuilt. You had to stay on a 10" wide plank all the way across since there were 6 to 8" gaps you could see the water through on either side. High pucker factor ride that!

Well, it's official. There is no way I will be able to make it.

I was hoping I might join you guys for one ride at least. But I am up to my neck in constuction and repair projects. I have not even had time to install a new chain and brake pads on my bike

Oh well, Maybe next time.

Y'all enjoy your "gallivant"

Anyone want to share a room with me and probably Chris? looks like they have room for 3 for $75 a night. Can't beat splitting that!

I did some scouting today on the ride I had mapped out. Pavement is a bit older than last time I was over those roads but for the most part in pretty good shape. Good mix of open country (pastureland) and wooded areas, lots of curves, lots of hills and valleys, just your usual Ozark Mountain riding.

Most of it is not that old. A bit of cracking in the surface asphalt. Potholes were very rare and easily avoidable.

This is the route as I scouted it out. We can adjust before we go or we can adjust at lunch (Mountain Home area) if we decide to ride longer or just head on back to The Hub.

This past Sat., I went to Branson, MO via Hwy 7. It was a moonlit drive. To bad I wasn't on my bike. Anywho, there is construction going on north of Jasper (the twistiest part). If you guys use hwy 7 on one of the rides, be careful. Wish I could join you guys.

Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

Yes, Donny and I will also be there in Eldorado Springs Thursday around 2-3 pm. My 20 year old son will be there also if he is not working.

That's right Rudy,

"This years rally is going to be September 22d-25th.
We are going to start out in El Dorado Springs, MO. to be at the Triumph trailer on Friday then go to Harrison Ar. for Friday night 23rd through Sunday the 25th.

In Eldorado Springs www.cnhmotel.com In Harrison it is the Hub http://hubinfo.com/ I talked to Debbie there and just reference Bonnevilleamerica.com rally. She said you could e-mail her for the reservations. It is about 10 miles south of Harrison. She said there are some camp sites for $10 if you are in to that."

That looks good Troy. Thanks for taking the time to scout our Sat. ride

I imagine after riding the Triumphs on Friday in El Dorado Springs, we will come straight down MO 39 to AR. I wouldn't mind avoiding Branson and the traffic on US 65. Unless someone has a better route.

Looks like I'll be coming in Friday morning. I have a Thursday night fall softball league this year and play at 8:30 that week. I plan on rolling out probably around 4:30 Friday morning so I get there in time. I think it's a 5 hour ride, should be able to make it in less.
