Bonneville America Forums Forums Technical Forums General Tech CDI modules and Gel batteries oh my!

I am looking for people who have had experience with the various aftermarket CDIs and gel batteries for 2002 ish Bonneville Amerricas for far the best of the cdis I have found are MAGNUM Programmable REV LIMITER Ignition Controller Triumph America for about 100 dollars and the Procom one for about 270. What sort of opinions do we have as to how they run and how they hold up to the weather and such.

.....going into my second year with a procom cdi....I've been running map #5 and it's been performing flawlessly....at $270, it seems that they've gotten a bit more expensive since I bought mine...I know nothing of gel batteries for the Triumph, but I can tell you that the procom cdi likes full voltage.....when I installed the new cdi, I also had to replace the 6 year old battery....as is my habit, I just drove down to my local Interstate Battery distributor.
