I understand if someone borrows (steals) your license plate. Get a police report.
If you go to get a new plate, without report it will cost you. Had a customer tell me, with a report it saved the the price of a new tag.
Said he may put JB weld on bolts to deter theft. Told him he needs to get a lifetime plate first.

Here in the Sunshine State (where it poured rain today) they used to make you replace your plate every 5 years. They must have changed, when I got my Tiger I transfered the tag and am now in year 6. Same with my truck. I always use locknuts on mine.

I know a guy who had his bike stolen but they left the plate behind
