Outstanding job on the electrics routing, as well. The faux tank, really cleans it up.

They showed me WAY too much in the four pic's.!

Well, I have a few things to say about this "bike"... just kidding, I love it. I actually sleep with a picture of it under my pillow. Is that weird?

I really like what you did with the rear brake reservoir and may do something similar on my bike.

I also like the plate on the rear axle to prevent marking the powder coat when the axle is moved.

thanks for all the warm and postive feedback. this was a huge untaking and i was a bit on the nervous side as my 2007 speedmaster only had 1400 miles on it when I decided to rebuild it. between the first frame that didn't work and trying to adapt harley parts on a triumph was no easy task. the aftermarket for these bikes is very slim. the bike runs great, and i get good feedback all the time. it will be in a future issue of "the horse". don't know which one yet. also i have no problems with you guys do a feature on it here. once again, thanks all.

btw... if anyone is considering going this route or in the future don't hesitate to ask any questions.

really tough, I sold alot of the stock bike to help ofset the cost. I did all the welding myself, and fabbed as much as I could. got a deal on the frame, rear fender, and seat. probably spent around 3500.00 ( coming out of pocket) projects like this will nickle and dime you to death. something always popping up and unforseen expenses.

if i were to sell this bike, id ask in the 8-10k range and i believe it's 100% worth that. nothing was short-changed on this build.

Firstly, I think your bike looks incredible. It has inspired me to do a similar style with my own take on things.

Did you use the same frame Acme Choppers have listed in their website or is it a custom frame?

well the frame is the looped version. i just gave them the specs i wanted. 38 degrees of rake, 4 inches of ground clearance and 2 inches of rear stretch. give wayne a call and tell him what you want. super nice guy.

on other news I changed a few things on the bike and i'm thinking of adding a turbocharger to it.. all in all bike runs great. I put about 500 miles on it so far and all is good. keep an eye out for a feature in the horse.

OK, let me start by saying that I know nothing about building a bike. That being said I have one (perhaps compound) question.

Why did you have to start from that beautiful bike? When comparing the initial bike and the finished product the only thing that appears to be common is the engine. Wouldn't it have been easier to start from scratch and just buy an engine?

Well, for one thing, buying a used bike and parting it out except for the engine can save a lot of money. Engines don't come around very often and when they do, they are off a wreck (and they're still pretty pricey). While they're probably fine I'd rather have one off an non-wrecked bike, just in case.

well i like what I did but it's just didn't suit my style and I can never leave anything also. i looked for a wrecked bike but came up short. these triumph engines are not cheap and I used a fair amount of items from the original bike. i the end I came out with a great bike and came out of pocket very little. i have no regrets.
