Bobbed, dragged, slammed. I left some of my older photos so you can see the difference. Soon to chrome the brake calipers, rotors, lower forks, both triple trees and MAYBE the swing arm...we'll see. These things are WAY to much fun hop up....

I got those from Bellecorse. Here is the URL:

http://www.bellacorse.com/bcc081.htm

Also..if you look at the bike before and after you will note that I removed lots of Triumph pieces(light bar, single seat rail, fenders, handbars,ect...) If you see something you want go ahead and email me. I will make you a great deal.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I really appreciate it.

P.S. I will be gone for the next 5 days. I'll try to respond to all emails or PMs.

Looks great.

Do you have a write up on how you did the hidden electrical wiring in the bars?

What size rear tire are you running and what sor of hardware are you using for the wheel?

Thanks,
Hugh

The drag bars are Barons Rad-ius Bars part# BA-731005-00.
They are made for the Kawasaki and Harley. There are pre-drilled holes for the wires. The ends of the bars were cut off 1" at each end to fit the diamond cut grips. Then the holes next to the grips were notched open another 1/2 inch to fit all the Triumphs wires(18!!). I wrapped the wires pertruding from the bottom of the bars in 1/4" steel braided line and then used clear shrink wrap over that to protect the wires.

The tire is a Dunlop Sportsman D207 200-50ZR-17. $99 at Cycle World. The wheel is a custom 5-1/2 wheel I had made at a local wheel shop with stainless spokes.

10-4 on that...plans are to have a 19in wheel built by the same guy who built my rear wheel. The new wheel will have Diamond cut chrome spokes and chrome hub assembly. I'll also chrome front and rear rotors and brake calipers, the rear brake bracket, lower forks and both triple trees. And to set off the whole bike off...remove the chain guard and install a matching green chain.......

What kind of lights did you mount on the rear? Do you have them hooked up as turn signals?

Looks good so far. I am glad you lost the lightbar, it did seem a little out of place on the stripped down bike.

Very nice job.

Thanks,

Those are the small Kuryakyn halogen silver bullets. Yes, I have them wired up as run/turn/brake lights.

Yes. I had to give them my stock hub. Looking back I wish I had powder coated the hub black or chromed it.

I re-used the brackets from the Triumph small windscreen. Since the windscreen had faded and had seen its share of splattered bugs I could imagine any wanting it. So I put the brackets to good use.

MC Tire Works in Lomita California using my hub,Buchanan 5 1/2' wheel and polished stainless spokes. They also did my 21" front wheel. I need to post new pictures. Since my last set of pictures I chromed 61 pieces(triple trees, rear spocket, both brake rotors and calipers and all the bolts that hold them together), polished the lower forks, mounted the 21" front wheel, cut the front fork spacer down 1&1/4" and replaced my Corbin with a BCC seat.

I have finally completed my bobbing of my O4 America. It was expensive and fun but it is well worth it every time I hop on it and ride. It was a labor of love because it is a Triumph. It handles great, hauls A$$ and causes accidents where ever I am. Here are some finished pictures:

Thanks for all the support, the nice comments and suggestions.

Most excellent. It looked nice before but that 21" front wheel is the business.

Just beautiful! I am going to have to steal some of you ideas (I have a black '04). I had suspected you could put a 200 under a BA - I was happy to see that someone confirmed it. I am not a big fan of the rear fender on these, I suspect I am not alone. I have been looking for something that would hug the rear tire a little better. We'll see what I come up with. I suspect the rim change was around $500. That pretty close?

I measured the rear fender to hug the rear tire when I sit on the bike. Any lower and then it starts to rub. $500 is pretty close to a custom laced rear wheel. Thanks and feel free to steal any and all ideas!!!
